Ruchi Fruitwala is a graduate of Indiana University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, with minors in Business and Theatre. She began her career at a commercial design firm and later went on to start her own studio, Open Door Design, specializing in home interiors.
Apart from her professional experience, she is involved in charity organizations and understands the responsibility we have to give back to our community and roots. She served as National Director of Raas All-Stars, a collegiate dance championship, and was a founding board member of Lotus, an organization dedicated to bringing together South Asians for social and service purposes.
When she is not attending Broadway shows, exploring art museums, or practicing yoga, Ruchi continues that same level of commitment by volunteering with Ekal Vidyalaya, a non-profit aimed to help eradicate illiteracy in India, and her local Dallas-Fort Worth Hindu temple.
Amongst her friends, Ruchi is known as a pop-culture enthusiast and believes that step one to change is starting a conversation.
